A Community Celebration to Honor our Belmont Educators
The Foundation for Belmont Education (FBE) is excited to announce the 2017 Outstanding Teacher Awards. This program, sponsored by Belmont Savings Bank Foundation, recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary contributions made by teachers in the Belmont Public Schools.
Belmont is fortunate to have a cadre of excellent teachers who bring enriching educational experiences to students. Now the community has a chance to honor these talented and dedicated teachers who work hard every day to make a difference for our students and for the Belmont Public Schools.
Community members, colleagues, parents of students, and high school and middle school students can submit nominations for teachers who deserve this special recognition. Nominations can be made between February 27 and March 31. Teachers from Belmont’s six public schools are chosen for this award. The recipients are honored first at a surprise ceremony in his or her classroom and then at a district-wide award ceremony on May 2, 2017 at the Chenery Middle School.
Excerpts from 2016 Outstanding Teacher Award nominations:
