MARCH 23, 2020 – OTA UPDATE
The FBE has decided to postpone the nomination process for the 2020 Outstanding Teacher Awards given the current circumstances. We will determine the next steps and how to celebrate our wonderful educators at a later date. We would like to thank you for the nominations that have already been submitted, and we will include them in our review process once we open nominations again.
If you have any questions or comments, please email OTA@fbe-belmont.org.
Thank you for your understanding and support of the FBE and the Belmont Public School teachers, administrators, and staff.
About the Outstanding Teacher Awards
The Foundation for Belmont Education implements a teacher recognition program throughout the Belmont Public School district. This program, sponsored by the Belmont Savings Bank Foundation, recognizes the extraordinary contributions made by teachers in the Belmont Public Schools.
Community members, colleagues, and high school and middle school students submit nomination papers through online forms, for teachers who deserve special recognition. An FBE committee chooses one teacher, based on nominations, from each of the six schools and recognizes them in a surprise ceremony at their school as well as a district-wide award ceremony held in early May. Watch the 2019 Outstanding Teacher Ceremony HERE.
